STAR Cruises has bagged the Best Cruise Operator award at the TravelWeekly
(Asia) Industry Awards 2007.
The ceremony was held at The Harbour Plaza Metropolis in Hong Kong.
Star Cruises said a total of 54 awards were handed out under five categories
– tourism products & services, tourism-related entities, personality, online
& technology, and marketing promotion – as well as two honorary awards,
Reader’s Choice and Visionary Awards.
“We are honoured to have won the prestigious award by TravelWeekly (Asia) as
we continue to commit in contributing significantly to the cruise tourism
and offer the most memorable cruise vacations in the region,” said Star
Cruises senior vice-president (sales and marketing) Jean Teo.
She added that the award was timely as it coincided with the welcoming of
the latest addition to the Star Cruises fleet, SuperStar Aquarius, the
largest ship to be home-ported in Hong Kong on June 22.
