NORTHPORT (M) Bhd and Inai Kiara Sdn Bhd received Corporate Excellence
Awards by Malaysian Maritime Institute (Ikmal) in Kuala Lumpur last week.
Ikmal president Datuk Capt Jaffar Lamri said the two leading companies were
chosen based on their productivity, professionalism, quality of services and
contribution to the maritime industry.
Northport managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Basheer Hassan
Abdul Kader and Inai Kiara executive director (commercial) received the
awards respectively from Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan
Sultan Abu Bakar at Ikmal 22nd anniversary dinner.
At the event, Ikmal also extended two fellowship awards to its outstanding
members who have greatly contributed to the maritime sector.
The fellowship were given to Ikmal honorary treasurer Capt Muhammad Yusuf
Ahmad and Peninsula Malaysia Marine Department director general Capt Ahmad
Othman.
